Getting Our Greek On

We went to the yearly Greek Festival at the local Greek Orthodox Church this morning with our friends Chris and Michelle. Good food, good music, good fun. We split a chicken oreganato dinner (chicken broiled and basted with a marinade of oil, oregano and tomato sauce) with rice pilaf, green beans & carrots and Greek salad. Yummy! We brought home some loukoumades (golden fried pastry puffs topped with honey syrup and dusted with cinnamon and walnuts) for our small group meeting tomorrow too.

After stuffing ourselves silly we went to Target to buy last minute travel needs and cleaning supplies for the house. We're trying to go green with Method cleaning products. We borrowed huge luggage from Chris and Michelle and started packing today. Exciting! We leave in 5 days. Unbelievable.

We watched "I Am Legend" tonight. Not quite what we expected but very good. Had another nice meal too - homemade meatloaf, smashed potatoes from scratch and mixed veggies. Comfort food, to be sure.

So, other than our countdowns, not much else exciting going on :)

Looks like fun!! Does Pete remember the time I made baklava?

I love the Method line, and as you know, I no big greenie. They smell nice, are very effeeective, don't hurt my hands and the shower cleaner doesn't choke me. Good for you!
