The Kids

Nutmeg is adjusting fairly well. She hides a lot but she likes to explore too. We worry that she's not getting enough to eat but she knows where the food is and she'll eat when she's hungry enough. She and Kenny are still getting along great!

Enjoy the pics and video.

New Furniture

While out and about today we stopped to check out Sofas Unlimited... and ended up buying living room furniture! Tomorrow we'll go back to finalize the sale but here's a picture. We're buying a sofa and loveseat in the color "thyme". It'll take about 6 weeks to ship to the store and they said they're happy to hold onto them till we're ready for them to deliver to our new home (free delivery too, by the way). Good news all around :)

Amy's parents left today for 2 weeks in Punta Cana. We're both a little jealous. Wish we could have gone too but only 36 more days left doing the paper route and then 4 days after that we're on our way to Athens and London. Huzzah!

And here are some pictures of Kenny too, for good measure. Amy finally got around to playing with her black and white setting. Enjoy!

Yay Weekend!

Hey there world wide web! Just Amy this time. Peter's still at work. I'm home early for a Dr. appointment. Boo! So Kenny and I are hanging out and blogging together (see below).

We had our home inspection on Tuesday and it went VERY well. We're asking the sellers to fix a loose diverter (faucet) on the guest bathtub and have the furnace serviced and that's it. Nothing else wrong, really. I took about a million more pictures to give me a better idea of space and colors and things. Yes, I've already been looking at paint colors. Some of my favorites are Bagel, Latte (sounds like breakfast so far), Jubilee and Coastal Plain. I can't wait to get in there and paint!

We get the results of our radon test either today or tomorrow. After that our mortgage guy will order an appraisal and we're one step closer to making this home ours. Yay!

I have the day off tomorrow. Peter does not. This may be the only time EVER that Peter, the State Employee, doesn't get a holiday and I do. Ha! My Mom may come over to visit. We'll have lunch and I'll drive her by the house to see where it is. Maybe do a little furniture shopping :)

Peter and I found a table and chairs that we really like and for a great price too. We may buy them next week. We're also giving away our current living room furniture and getting all new stuff so... if you know anybody who needs a couch... Otherwise we're putting up flyers at Messiah College. College students LOVE free stuff.

Alright, enough already. Have a fabulous weekend! Oh - and here's a pic of the front of our house (finally). Enjoy.

Happy Easter!!!

Welcome to... a blog!

Because we don't see nearly as much of friends and family as we would like these days, we're hoping to use this blog to give you a peek into our day-to-day lives. A little hectic, somewhat strange, always interesting.

For those who may need a re-cap, here we go: Peter works for the PA State Government (going on 3 years) and Amy works in HR for a world missions organization. We also run a paper route every morning. We volunteer at an animal shelter every Monday night and teach Kindergarten girls Sunday school at our church. We're planning a vacation to Europe in May but we'll blog more about that another time.

That's a start. We hope you enjoy our stories (and we give you permission to laugh at our expense should the opportunity arise... and it will). Not an exciting night but a typical one - here are some pics of us making dinner (disclaimer - we're not poor, this was just a lazy cooking night). And one of Kenny, our cat, for good measure.

Love and hugs!

Peter & Amy
